Mark and Lloyd, could I speak with you? We should get this organized ASAP, so on and so forth. I'm sure you know what needs to be done, but we should discuss it anyways.

Also, anyone staying behind to look after the town, could I get your names and powers/abilities here? Just for organization's sake, thanks.

Be careful. If you haven't seen it...Hojo's here. ...We should kill him now. If the Malnosso are gone, he won't be brought back. And Zack...

Zack, you're all right? He's not...y'know, is he?

I assure you, if I was able to pick the timing of my arrival I would have never come. Aeria must be having a fit by now... And naturally, I can accept you suspicions. I have a great many of my own, but you seem like a reputable Terran... not to mention, I feel like I can identify with a fellow father.

But to address them plainly...

1) Could you explain what that guide means by there normally being 'limitations' on abilities?

2) I understand the current situation is different than the norm; how?

3) ...What is the average technological level of this settlement?

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
...I see.

1) Basically, ususally there's a cap on our powers, some kind of field or spell or something that weakens our abilities. It's gone now; we don't know what's happened. We're investigating it, actually, and that's half the chaos you've probably read about.

2) It's not as free as this. There's usually a barrier in the mountains keeping us here, our powers -like I said- are weaker, and there are things called "Death Penalties" that add extra handicaps on people who've...well, been brought back from the dead. Which happens here.

3) Crap. Slightly above crap sometimes. The most advanced stuff here is sentient and walking around; there are some robots, so if you want a better idea I'd suggest you talk to them, instead.

Robots? Fully functional AIs? That's... troubling. If you happen to have some names, that would be helpful though. I can't seem to find my minitop, nor anything I can use as a suitable substitute. I'm beginning to suspect that replacing it won't be possible under the circumstances... but I have some reports I need to make to people on other worlds. Even if I work with the liberation forces here -- which I intend to... I really need to report to my superiors. And give Aeria a heads-up I'll be late.

But truly, a cap? I can see how the removal of that would cause pandemonium.

They're not so bad. I haven't heard of any of 'em really doing anything wrong...in fact, a couple of them are actually pretty helpful. I think one of them's on my team, but I haven't heard from him yet.

Yeah. But it's also a sign that there's a way out of here, maybe, so.

AIs... on the whole have been nothing but trouble, but I am certain they have exceptional individuals in their own right. If you might introduce me, or at least point me in the direction of them, I would be most grateful.

Yes, that is promising. Inter-dimensional terrorism tends to create such a mess...

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, it would probably be better if I just told the one that has to report in to me your name. If that's okay, considering he...hasn't reported in yet.

I wouldn't know, but it doesn't sound good anyway...

[identity profile] denyingly.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
If you would do that, I would be grateful. Though I must request, for the reasons I stated above, you don't make my existence public knowledge just yet.

I do hope you will consider my offer. Though... it's more than fine if you don't. If you don't, I'll be operating independently.

I'll just tell him, and I'll lock it.

...if that's the case, can I count on you for intel? There's two known enemies thus far, but a hell of a lot of variables that we haven't been able to account for. The two known are Dio and Diavolo, dangerous criminals and apparently murderers...but supposedly there are at least half a dozen others who have no problem killing a few people in their way also. The only name I've gotten is Yggdrasil.

...also, there's a man just arrived by the name of Hojo. You don't have to worry about him, but know that if he approaches you, it's best to get away. He's being taken care of, though.

I've seen entries by those two, I think. I'll be tagging them. And, Yggdrasill? Understood. Though, I need to inquire -- are they all Terrans? the majority of the population seems to be.

If he is a Terran I assure you that I am more than capable of pinning him under normal circumstances. Unless there is some notable ability I need to be informed of?

[Private || Unhackable]

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Um...sorry for asking, but what exactly does "Terran" mean?

[Private || Unhackable]

[identity profile] denyingly.livejournal.com 2008-09-03 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? You've never heard the term? My apologies... What backwater planet are you from...

The people of Terra Prime -- humans, that is.

[Private || Unhackable]

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Some random ball of mud that obviously is full of idiot savages.

Well...they look human, at least. I don't know if they actually are, though. I've only seen what you can see from these little pictures on the journals, but I do know that Dio and Diavolo apparently have some really strong powers that paralyze people or stop time or something like that.

[Private || Unhackable]

[identity profile] denyingly.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Idiot? Hardly. A planet that produces a crop like you isn't due for such an insult. But then... few are.

Stop... time? Well, that's horrifying. As to the paralysis, however, that's basic psionics; I can deal with that.

Thank you for the information. Please, don't hesitate to ask if you need additional help. Oh... and this goes without saying, but I hope you manage to keep your boys safe in the midst of running this community.

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-04 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
...uh, right.

I'm not sure on the specifics of the time thing; for all we know, it could be some intricate paralysis spell or something, since stopping time is pretty...well, pretty hard. Or impossible. One of the two.

...Thanks. And I will.

I assure you, next to nothing is impossible in this universe. But I hope it's as you suggest... that would be more likely in any case.
