(no subject)

Kidnappings have started up again...So much for that.

If there were a training facility plotted out and planned, how many of you would help build it? I think if anyone who wants to use it helps with the construction, we can get the thing up in no time.

Also, anybody out there with military experience? Officers, secretarial; hell, even just field grunts. Anything at all.

[Private to Kadaj]

Might as well take advantage of this.

What are you planning, Kadaj?

I was hoping I wouldn't have to start keeping track again..

Is there any chance you know how many, presently?

[identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
I think I might be of some help on the military experience end. I was originally created for military purposes anyway.

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Three, but I haven't been paying attention. Possibly more.

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
...created?

Were you an officer or...?

[identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
I wasn't an officer, but I've got the knowledge to be one if it ever came down to it. All that military knowledge is downloaded right into my head, and I was literally born right into a war. Kicked the enemies ass too.

[ooc: Yes, she is very proud about all this. ^^;]

[identity profile] graciousheart.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Alright. Thank you.

Um...well, okay. Thanks, I'll keep you in mind...

...don't I know you?

Military; no, but my experiences as a Xei give me some knowledge as to being a very... loosely defined spec-ops unit, in a sense.

[identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Forgotten me already?

Let's try this again. Hello, Cloud. I'm Jenny, and yes, you do know me.

[identity profile] compos-mentis.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
[I think I can sum up Nina's reply with the following: 'lol']

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Right, Jenny. Right. No, it's...I have a really bad memory. Moreso than usual. Sorry.

I figured as much, with the information retrieval you did.

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Should I even ask for details?

[identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
No reason to apologize. It's not your fault that your memory has gotten so bad.

Yes, I imagine that would enforce the point.

...Despite this, however, I should probably note that the Xei, as well as the organization I work for now, believe quite firmly in Exitus Acta Probat, and we were given a tremendous amount of leeway in our actions so long as the 'job got done,' so to speak. I personally didn't abuse this freedom -- and still don't -- I'd like to think, but the fact remains that I am not used to rigid command structures as a result.

[identity profile] compos-mentis.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
I've served in... Probably about a thousand different armies by now. Not the best rule-follower though, all things considered.

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
I think I'm remembering our conversation, though. How's your father doing?

I doubt a rigid command structure would work here anyhow. Even if a working militia was established, everything would be so casual that it would border on a group of mercenary renegades.

Despite the best efforts of Mr. Silverberg and ... Mark, I believe his name was, I am somewhat inclined to agree. Mind you, a more hap-hazard force once destroyed the Sin Stones, so I can't complain...

Well that depends. Are ya lookin' for people with offical military experience? People experienced beatin' the asses of two militaries? People who are good at fightin', but don't follow orders that well. Freelane fighters? Huh, much nicer than callin' myself a terrorist.

[identity profile] herobydefault.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't pin you as someone for protocol, actually.

If there were some kind of system set up here, would you take part in it?

[identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I imagine he's doing well. He's not here anymore.

Knowing him though, he's probably saving planets, rescuing civilizations, defeating terrible creatures, and doing an awful lot of running.

If I need to babysit a general and his dog, maybe.

Isn't that how it usually goes? Rag-tag group of heroes overthrows oppressive congolmerate?
