No, that "hell no," was in reference to me doing it. I just wanted opinions on the idea.

Someone needs to do the work and keep track if the census happens. It's a lot of work for what it's worth.

I really don't think it's a one-person job. Some people probably don't look at their journals for weeks, if at all. Honestly the best thing to do would be to go door to door and get a rough estimate that way. This isn't including the people living elsewhere, like up in the caves or even if anyone's down in the tunnels, or in the ruins or anywhere else.

A council? Hardly. After months of failed organizing, that idea was abandoned. The residents will never pay enough attention to accept an actual council.

In any case, if you feel like gathering a few people to try and get a rough estimate of Luceti's inhabitants, I can't offer any objections.

That's kind of the story everywhere. Hard to have power without any money or violence to back it up.

I'm not doing this. I just wanted to see if anyone would really pay attention to a journal-organized census, which obviously they wouldn't. It was for curiosity's sake.

The best we can do is make sure the more competent individuals stick together, ready to keep order during the more chaotic experiments. A kind of damage control, if you will. Whether residents actually listen is another matter entirely.

Some of these people wouldn't recognise organization if it hit them in the face.
