[Cloud still turn around. It seems wrong, to still claim to be on his side when he practically wrote up a list of ways to effectively kill them for the Justice League.]

[Kadaj takes a few steps towards Cloud, feeling unsure of himself and perhaps even worried.]

Do you even care? [Maybe that wasn't exactly what he wanted to ask, but he did want to know.]

I don't- [Ugh, getting the words out is like choking on his own tongue. He hates these kinds of talks.]

[He almost lets out a breath of relief, a part of him glad that Cloud cared in some form or another, but instead he shakes his head.]

[Kadaj shakes his head. He couldn't be certain because nothing about Luceti was certain. If Yazoo were to disappear tomorrow, chances are all sanity Kadaj had would leave with him, and the killing would begin again.]

[Kadaj takes a moment to reply, gritting his teeth in frustration.] What do you want me to say?

[Kadaj does not appreciate the pointing, and crosses his arms with a huff.] Haven't I already tried to explain things to you?

No; I want to know why you gave up. The way you were talking, the way he was talking, you'd both keep doing this until Loz came back.

But here you're saying you've learned your lesson- why? If it wasn't just you freaking out, then what was it?

We're not really--I... We knew we couldn't get him back when we started. [It's Kadaj's turn to turn away from Cloud, unwilling to even look in his direction. He wasn't ashamed of what he and his brother did, it helped in some odd way, but to explain it... It reminded him of how much it still hurt.] it helped us stop ... hurting.

We knew what was going to happen when we started. We knew how it would end. We haven't really learned a lesson, I guess, we just don't have a reason to continue.
