Of course--but you never can be too sure. Except with Spike. Spike's roots are totally showing and it's kind of a travesty that he can't look in a mirror to see it.

I wouldn't really go near the word friends. [Of course, it's much more complicated than that.] But, in this case? Spike's one of the oh-so-very-rare non-evil vamps. He's got a soul.

Less than a year in, I met the only other vampire with a soul. I adapted.

I get that there's piles of guilt--but, Spike and Angel? They drink pig's blood, instead.

[She can't perfectly empathize with the burden of a soul--Buffy has always lived with one. ] When I met him, though...he didn't have one. Spike, I mean. He was all bad.

He got inspired to become more man than monster. Good thing, too. He was kinda the key soldier in the last battle over Sunnydale.
