If you don't have a Lifestream keeping your Planet alive, what's holding it together?

You don't know what holds your Planet together?

Of course I do. Gravity does; it's what keeps us all on the ground.

I know what gravity is, I'm not talking about gravity. I'm talking about- [How do you put this.] Life energy, I guess. Souls and the like.

Then that is something no one seems to agree on. There is not one definite answer I can give you, unfortunately.

...what? Something nobody agrees on? How do you not agree on where souls come from?

That is because there is no concrete proof on how we all came to be. Though it basically comes down to science versus religion.

[Cloud can see that sort of. Cosmo Canyon had it right all along, but most people had either not cared or thought they were just a bunch of crazy hippies.]

They're all way different from what I was looking for though.

Were you expecting something similar to what you have in your world?

I was expecting people to at least have an idea.

Not everyone has the answers, and most of the time, it's better that way.

Why is it better to not have any answers? Not knowing anything makes it easier to make stupid mistakes.

I can't speak for any other world, but in mine, there are people willing to exploit anything, even knowledge.

There's always someone willing to exploit something no matter where you go. I mean, we're being exploited right now.

But that doesn't mean you should just not know things, that makes it easier to be exploited.

I suppose there are both advantages and disadvantages to being privy to this kind of information.

I guess so. Just depends on whether or not the people in the know are power-hungry bastards.

One can only hope that they aren't. I've dealt with those kinds of people before.

Same here. I think that kind of person exists everywhere, unfortunately.
