We have a slight problem.

Any further plans of taking out Jenova need to be kept from myself, Sephiroth, Angeal, my boys, Ichigo and possibly Yuffie.

Speaking of- Yuffie, have you been hearing anything strange?

And for a while, he was without a ... certain presence in the village. [A sigh]

...he just wants love and attention. [Cloud's voice falls to a murmur, eyes fixed on the toe of his boot as he continues to tap his heel.] I can understand that.

Many people do require nurture, to grow properly. He doesn't make it easy.

No, he doesn't. [There's a pause, and then -worriedly- Cloud asks] He hasn't hurt you, has he? I know he lashes out when he doesn't know what's going on.

Hurt me? No, not -- recently. He is confused, though; it's not something he's dealt with before. When it's over he just may lash out even more, which is what concerns me.

Damn. [Cloud chewed on his lip.]

...we should stop making plans on how to help Kadaj. Jenova- she might try to twist things around before we can talk to him. Let's just...play this by ear.

... Understood. [A sigh.]

This week can't end soon enough.

Yeah, I'm with you. This is a horrible experiment in disguise.

All of them are.

The mental ones are the worst. How they can tap into every individual, and manipulate them in such ways... especially on such a scale. [Oh wait. This sounds familiar.]

I've been wondering how they could control something like that, so directly, for a while now...

Do you think it could be through the wings, themselves? Not that there is truly anything we can do about it.

Someone else had a theory involving the wings...but it was so long ago. I can't even remember who it was.

Ah, damn it. [Cloud sighs.] I'll try to think of who it was or at least what it was, but I doubt I'll remember.

Mark came in our cycle, and Albert was one of the first brought in, yes. I'll have to ask them.

All right. [Cloud's not exactly one to shoo her out -that being kind of rude- so instead...] Would you like more coffee?

[They have been sitting here talking a while, haven't they? Unfortunately, Raine hasn't really been getting much sleep again lately, so she's not about to turn down another cup of coffee.]

[She certainly looks appreciative at that. Crazy hectic week. Hoping that her brother won't be vanished when she gets back home. This experiment mess. Work not being done. Very tired, not that she isn't used to that.]
