Cid, Yuffie, cancel the run into the desert. That was the weirdest thing- okay, not the weirdest. That was strange. Ignore that, there's no way in hell we're tromping through the desert unless it means we can go home. I hate the desert. And we are not killing Leto.

Raine, I'll come by to pick up Simon's assignments. Anything you want me to bring?

[Cloud heads over. The boy needs some man talk...but not to get smashed. This will not happen, since he's fairly sure Sigmund's wife Edward would beat his face in if he did that to Sigmund.]

[Sigmund is not particularly thrilled about the idea of leaving so soon after the incident, but perhaps gaining another perspective on the matter would be helpful. He's been so concerned about everything, it's not doing him a bit of good.]

[Hey, c'mon out. Cloud's approaching the door, might not be a good idea if Ed answers since he doesn't particularly like him.]

Sigmund steps out, looking better than the last time Cloud saw him. He has the materia in his hand.]

Hey, c'mon. [Cloud gestures; hopefully Sig's family wasn't too pissed about him going out, but nothing constructive was happening here and Cloud knew it. Sigmund needed some space to think...these experiments always hit pretty hard psychologically.]

[Sigmund makes an affirmative noise and starts to walk with him, but says little else. He wasn't in too much trouble, as he wasn't embarking on a new grand adventure (or doing so alone). However, the aftermath of the whole incident continued to both him, and he wasn't sure of what to say.]

You end up using that? [Cloud flicks a gesture towards the materia in his hand as they start towards the bar.]

Not much. Edward is not particularly good with magic, and I was in no state to try.

Nevertheless, thank you. [Sigmund holds it out so that he can return it properly.]

[Cloud tucks it into his pocket.]

No problem. Who healed you, then?

[There's a hint of awkwardness in Sigmund's expression.]

One of the things I forgot while I was under the influence of that experiment is how capable my family is of helping me.
